e-MDS: The solution for Independent Mental Health Care Providers
The introduction of the new NHS contract for Mental Health Care Services in April 2010 will require independent providers to collate and submit the Mental Health Minimum Data Set (MHMDS) on a quarterly basis , in addition to providing data to the commissioning Primary Care Trust. Providers are therefore faced with a choice of rolling out complex clinical records systems or increasing administration resources to manually collate the reports. There is now an alternative solution that doesn't require any significant investment in IT infrastructure. e-MDS is provided on a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) basis and so you don't need anything more than a PC with an internet browser and a good broadband connection.
